It’s Time to Curb Your Enthusiasm in 2022

by | Dec 22, 2021 | Market Updates

The team used its collective vision to plot a course for 2022, and our own Dave Wagner, CFA gave it a fun theme as only he can do. The piece you’ll see below tackles the serious issues that exist, among them monetary policy, inflation, speculative froth, and ongoing virus concerns. But Dave also builds it around some classic lines from the actor/writer who has made a fortune putting societla norms through the blender. A few classic themes from the piece:

  • “So, the analyst’s make the estimates, but they can’t keep the estimates?”
  • “People say I look like Bernie Sanders. I don’t see it. Does this mean that the market may feel the burn as political uncertainty grows?“
  • “Tuesday has no feel. Monday has a feel, Friday has a feel, Sunday has a feel. What’s your feel on the market next year?”

It’s a fun read, particularly for fans of Seinfeld and/or Curb. And I counted 14 charts so who says you can’t mix work and play? I dare say it’s pretty, pretty, pretty good.

We thank you for engaging with us in 2021, and wish you a safe and joyous holiday season and a prosperous 2022.
